Biography

My practice assimilates a contemporary sculptural language around materiality, ephemerality, anti-monumentality, chance and classical figuration into a series of sculptures, installations, drawing, photographs, performance, writings and exhibitions. The archetypal material of clay is the centre of the work and is the substance that dictates the processes with which I engage. The work explores formal sculptural concerns and narratives surrounding interrelationships.
Born in Birmingham in 1982. Studied Fine Art and Art History at Goldsmiths College. Then worked for the sculptor Anthony Caro for 3 years before studying Fine Art Sculpture at the Slade, UCL.
