Elona Bennett is a retired member of the Royal Society of Sculptors that she joined in 2002, becoming a Fellow in 2006.

Elona trained at Kingston-upon-Thames College of Art from 1965 to 1969 and then from 1969 to 1970, she took the Advanced Course in Sculpture at St Martin’s School of Art, London.

Elona has exhibited widely and undertaken many commissions, public and private. Exhibitions have included a touring show for the Arts Council of Great Britain, and a show at the Ikon gallery in Birmingham. One of her commissions, a wood carving for the entrance of St. George’s Hospital Medical School, was unveiled by HRH the Queen. For many years Elona taught sculpture and woodcarving to every age group.
