Description

An exhibition of works by members of the Royal Society of Sculptors has recently opened at Thirsk Hall in North Yorkshire following an open call where members submitted sculptures that could be exhibited outside in the garden and parkland at Thirsk Hall and maquettes or works on paper that will be curated as part of a smaller exhibition in The Orangery.

We are very pleased to announce the artists who were selected to participate in this exhibition are: Farnoush Amini MRSS, Tere Chad MRSS, Tim Ellis MRSS, Elpida Hadzi-Vasileva FRSS, Katie Hallam MRSS, Rosie Leventon FRSS, and Rory Menage MRSS
The outdoor sculptures will remain at Thirsk Hall Sculpture Garden for one year.

As part of this exhibition a day of artist talks is programmed on Saturday 10 June featuring Emily Young FRSS, who is showing work in Gallery One at Thirsk Hall until 8 of July, Tere Chad MRSS, Elpida Hadzi-Vasileva FRSS, Rosie Leventon FRSS, and Rory Menage MRSS. Thirsk Hall Sculpture Garden was opened in May 2021 by Willoughby Gerrish Ltd. The Sculpture Garden is situated within 20 acres of garden and parkland belonging to Thirsk Hall, a historic grade II* listed Town House located in North Yorkshire.
